Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

The short version: Buy it once, use it on your own devices, don't resell it. Your data is your responsibility — export backups. Mochi is a budgeting tool, not a financial adviser.

1. What you're buying

Mochi is a browser-based budgeting application. When you purchase it, you receive a personal licence to use the software — not ownership of the software itself.

2. Your licence

3. Refunds

Covered in full by our Refund Policy. Short version: 14 days, no questions asked.

4. Your data is your responsibility

Mochi stores everything in your own browser. We cannot back your data up, restore it, or recover it if it's lost. Please export backups regularly — particularly before clearing your browser data or changing devices.

5. Not financial advice

Mochi is a tracking and budgeting tool. It is not a financial adviser, accountant, or tax professional, and nothing in the app constitutes financial advice. Decisions you make with your money remain yours.

6. Availability and changes

We may update Mochi, add or remove features, or discontinue it. If we ever discontinue it, the copy you already have keeps working — it runs locally, after all.

7. Provided "as is"

Mochi is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep it accurate and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be free of errors or that it will meet your particular requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Mochi.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing in these terms overrides any rights you hold as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
