Privacy Policy

The short version: Mochi does not collect your data. Not "we collect it responsibly" — we don't collect it at all. Everything you type stays in your own browser, on your own device.
What we collect
Nothing. Specifically:
- No account system, so we never receive your name or email address
- No analytics, so we don't track how you use the app
- No tracking cookies
- No third-party scripts, pixels or SDKs
- No server that receives your financial data
Where your data actually lives
Everything you enter — transactions, budgets, savings goals, wishlist items, notes — is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never travels anywhere else, because there is nowhere for it to travel to.
This also means: if you clear your browser data, or move to a new device without exporting a backup, that information is gone. We can't recover it for you, because we never had it in the first place.
Backups are yours
You can export a JSON backup or a CSV file at any time. Those files live wherever you save them and are entirely under your control.
Payments
Purchases are handled by our payment provider, Creem, who acts as the merchant of record. They process your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. Their own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction.
Children
Mochi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone (see above: we collect nothing from anyone).
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
